Political spin from the White House and its surrogates

Newtown CT shooting gets same old spin

Published by:

Newtown CT shooting gets same old spin from President Obama and the left. As horrific as the shooting is, it is not, nor should be any basis for “gun control” expansion in this country. It is as irrational to presume logic to a psychopath as it is to paint all gun owners as living on the edge lunatics which must be terrorized by the government in the name of the greater good. This shooting was evil, manifest and nothing more.

As someone with a close connection to Virginia Tech and the tragedy that occurred there years ago, I am very sensitive to the impact of gun violence in educational institutions. The answer is not restricting gun ownership or use for typical purposes. The left, including the president today have already jumped on the legislative kick the habit mode without even attempting to understand what set this crazy bastard on his death dealer wish. Clearly this person was homicidal or just plain nuts.

I hope the president isn’t still taking advice from his old pal Rahm Emanuel. One would think with all the shit going on in Chicago that the president might not be thinking about the old “never let a good crisis go to waste” from the first four years of his administration.

Gun violence is terrible. It is a crime. It is something to be understood in order to prevent it from happening. There will likely never be a true understanding as to why someone would become motivated to shoot his mother and then travel to a school and shoot defenseless, innocent children and their protectors in the school staff.

Even though the entire frigging northeast U.S. is all about removing God from the schools, I wish the sentiment were different and that somehow he would have stopped the shooter before he executed his deadly rampage. Perhaps God will be welcomed by the families and the community in comfort and mourning for those who were cut down before the promise of there lives could be realized. May God grant them the rest of innocence they have been robbed of and may He grant their families peace and strength as they face what no parent or family member should ever confront.

Democrats’ Plan is Simple

Published by:

The plan of the Democrats is simple. They want to “raise” the middle class on the backs of the top 10% while expanding the ranks of the lower class, again on the backs of the top 10%.

According to David Axelroid, the statistics of change are what people should be looking at. 29 months of private sector growth. Let’s look at a different number: There are over for million fewer jobs today than there were in his first month of office.

Every time I heard Democrats  talk about investments, I want to puke. Investments in education (unions), investment in clean technology (bribes and payoffs for Solyndra cronies), etc raise the tax burden, not just on the middle class, but all taxpayers. This is a travesty, that they want to grow the size of government, principally though expansion of entitlement programs, which shrinking long term growth and stability of the economic roots of this country.

Democrats are delusional to think intelligent people who can do basic math will think the Democratic plan cuts the deficit. In reality, it adds nearly 9 trillion more to the national debt by the end of any second term by nObama. That is 50% more than he jacked us for in his first term. nObama wants you to vote for HIM even though he will be responsible for more national debt than EVERY OTHER U.S. PRESIDENT COMBINED!

Speaking of comedy….Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is a buffoon even trying to talk about party comparisons. He stammers, makes comments designed to mislead hispanics and tries to create the illusion of tokenism from Republicans. Here is a bit of news, Mark Sandoval, Susana Martinez and Marco Rubio are not tokens. Two Governors and a U.S. Senator (who was seriously considered for the VP spot) represent significant leadership achievements, not just for hispanics, but for all Americans. These men and women are leaders for their entire state populations and are working to bridge misperceptions about the Republican party and what the value legal immigrants bring to this country.

Make no mistake about it, the democrats, led by the nObama campaign are well funded and well grounded. Bias against Republicans, however, is misplaced. There is nothing wrong with reducing illegal immigration. There is nothing wrong with creating incentives to move people off welfare, reducing the need for entitlement programs for one’s existence. The entitlement issue in particular will be difficult to solve.

It will take decades to substitute new programs while preserving the existing commitments to existing and soon to be retirees. We need leaders from all parties with the discipline and vision necessary to punch through the fog of politics. We need that leadership now, and in four years and for decades to come.

This country hangs precipitously by an economic thread. It may well mean, that to totally get out from under our national debt and deficit crisis, that tax rates will have to be reformed. However I will tell you this. There are 47% of people in this nation who pay no federal tax whatsoever. Before my taxes are raised, you (U.S. government) better start expanding the tax payer base to include a lot more people. nObama doesn’t want to do that, because the central theme of  liberals for more than a century was to enslave the poor and create division based on socioeconomic class levels. They have been effective.

It is the job of conservatives now to create the future worthy of our founding roots. It is time to reject the politics of division, of hate and spite. It is time to reject a president who has demonstrated by his own words that he is a one term proposition.

It is, as Clint Eastwood pointed out succinctly a few nights ago: “they are just going to come around and beg for votes every few years.  It is the same old deal.  But I just think it is important that you realize , that you’re the best in the world. Whether you are a Democrat or Republican or whether you’re libertarian or whatever, you are the best.  And we should not ever forget that. And when somebody does not do the job, we got to let them go.”

The only way this country is going to move “Forward”, is to change the transmission! My Friends, we got to let him (and Biden) go. Forward this message and this site to everyone you know. Get the word out, knock on doors, go to nursing homes, the inner city and the county fairs. We are all worth saving and we don’t want a government big enough to provide for us. We want a government that will let us do what we have done better than any other nation in the history of the world. Unleash the spirit and pride that is American Exceptionalism and don’t ever apologize for being great. Snatch victory out of the jaws of nObama’s defeat and rise like a phoenix from the ashes of the last four years.

SCOTUS gets it right…and wrong

Published by:

SCOTUS got it half right, upholding the provision to check for suspected illegal aliens by allowing law enforcement to ask for paperwork, but missed the point of the legislation’s intent by not kicking back, or otherwise requiring the federal government to actually perform the role associated to it within its constitutional authority.

Key provisions in the law, including forbidding illegals from seeking employment were also struck down. Essentially, the law said there was nothing illegal in asking those whose immigration status is questionable, however failed to allow local law enforcement to cite, arrest or detail suspected illegals under suspected violations.

The ruling fully underscores and demonstrates the current administration’s failure to show leadership on this issue, choosing to pander to hispanics by attempting to portray conservatives as anti-hispanic.

I am of the personal opinion that legal immigrants should stand with the rest of American citizens and should demand that those who are here illegally and are additionally breaking other laws should demand the federal government act decisively to remove these people from our country and put policies in place to provide for effective immigration that also protects our borders to both the north, south and east and west.

Obama’s White House all Plouffe and No Substance

Published by:

David Plouffe, President Obama’s personal spin cycle, made an appearance on Fox News’ “Fox News Sunday,” last weekend and it appears the President has taken some of his personal fortune out in order to install a turbo charger on the attack dog in chief.

The spin of politics, particularly at the top levels of government is often an artform. How close can you avoid telling the truth, while digging in your talking points at the same time is usually the measure by which one of these guys earns their keep. As good as he is at this, I find it hard to believe why David Plouffe would have wanted to defend President Obama’s White House on the security leaks issue.

Directly asked three separate times whether or not President Obama or any other senior member of the White House had declassified any information related to security leaks, Plouffe dodged the question each time with hyperbole about the president’s stance on fighting terror. Each time, asked, Plouffe countered with an answer that had nothing to do with the question, raising his clenched hand in emphasis that he believed this was all a political witch hunt.

Finally, host Chris Wallace finally had to pose the question as a direct yes or no answer. Finally Plouffe answered that, “Of couse not,” meaning no items being reported as leaks were declassified.

Wallace went on to compare the current White House’s reaction to the leaks investigation to the Valerie Plame incident under former President George W. Bush. Under the former administration, it was alledged that CIA covert operative Valerie Plame had be “outed” as an agent. At the time Senator Barack Obama was nearly apoplectic about the need to find out who had done this terrible thing (even though she was not a covert operative at the time). President Bush directed his entire staff to come forward with whatever information they had and subjected himself to questioning in the matter.

When asked whether or not the current administration would follow suit, Plouffe’s response was, with hand held high, “I am not going to get into that.”

It is important to note under the Plame case, President Obama wanted and thought apprpriate for outside counsel to investigate the matter. Yet, today, when the shoe is on the other foot, his obstructionist AD, Eric Holder appoints to Washington DC based U.S. Attorneys (who report to him) to investigate his boss.

Among the leaks that have come out of the White House include, details about Osama Bin Laden’s killing, outing the doctor who helped identify the remains/location of Bin Laden, the double agent who helped foil an al Quaeda bomb plot in Yemen and the US/Israel cyber attack on Iranian Nuclear sites. All of these leaks have the potential to disrupt methods, sources and human intelligence that takes years to build. The matter is quite serious, but not for Plouffe.

“Part of what’s going on here,” said Plouffe, “the Republicans in Congress are pretty clear here.. at the beginning of this year, what did they say… one of their core strategic priorities are… are to engage in investigations to damage this president politically.”

To his way of thinking, anything said about the President’s involvement, or the involvement by members of his staff is merely political distraction.

Near the end of the interview, Wallace got into the matter of the 2006 case involving Jack Abramoff, in which then Senator Obama sought a independent prosecutor in order to, “ensure the public’s confidence in the investigation and prosecution and help restore its faith in our government.,” Plouffe stated that most people would believe that two career attorneys in the Justice Department would have the ability to look into this and they would arrive at the correct conclusion.

Throughout the interview, each time when asked by Wallace any question, especially questions juxtaposed by the President’s own words from the past, Plouffe continued to defend that was then, this is now approach to policies. Apparently, when the other party was in power, no confidence could be held in regular justice department employees, but when the shoe is on his foot, it is totally unnecessary for independent investigation.

Plouffe’s spin machine has definitely been upgraded from the 2008 campaign and with good reason. When you look at the facts at the same time he speaks, you can easily break the cycle of mesmerization and understand that his words are like Rasputin’s. People must be inoculated from the effects of the political spin meisters such as Plouffe and Axlerod, but it takes people like you to see, investigate and inform others along the way.

The fight will be tough this year, but if we remember that as Carville said then and I say now, “It’s the Obama, Stupid,” we can’t be disappointed.
